The Guardians

Here is a detail of one of the large paintings I did when I came back from Egypt. These rams are lined up at the entrance to the Temple of Karnak.

I really cannot tell which piece is my favorite! They are all so stunning! I love your use of vibrant colors, especially the red in this one. My mother and I visited the Temple of Karnak in the late 80’s - so beautiful.

Sheri I sketched those rams when I was in Egypt. This detail is of two paintings on two layers of mulberry paper hanging in a light box. Hot wax and stains of color on the light weight paper give it some transparency. The light box is set in a larger canvas. “The Guardians” 54″x84″ mixed media on canvas.
